Shelley Tarnoff, Esq., JD, LMFT
Shelley Tarnoff is a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and family law attorney specializing in infertility,
ovum donation, surrogacy and adoption. In over twenty years of practice, she has counseled hundreds of patients as they
navigate their way through family building options. Shelley has served on the Board of Resolve of Northern California,
has led adoption and infertility support groups, and has trained and coordinated Resolve group leaders. She has served
as legal counsel for several ovum donation and surrogacy agencies. Shelley is a professional member of the American
Society of Reproductive Medicine and the Organization for Parenting Through Surrogacy. She has been a keynote speaker
and frequent presenter at Resolve infertility and adoption symposiums, legal continuing education programs and women's
health forums and has authored several articles including "Financial Aspects of Surrogacy", "Selecting an Ovum Donor",
and "Talking to Your Child About Their Beginnings". Shelley is a graduate of UCLA and Hastings College of Law.
Having experienced infertility and family building through adoption, she brings personal understanding as well as professional
expertise to her work. Her services for Zouves Fertility Center patients include stress reduction sessions, psycho-educational
interviews for third party parenting, failed cycle consultations and psychological screening for surrogate and ovum
donor candidates.
In 2007 Shelly Tarnoff was accepted into the Academy of California Adoption Lawyers/Academy of California Family Formation Lawyers and she is on the Legal Advisory Committee for Open Path (Formerly Resolve of Northern California) 2007 - present.
