Christo Zouves, MD, Medical Director
Dr. Zouves has been involved in in-vitro fertilization since
(IVF) came to North America. After studying medicine at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, Dr. Zouves completed residencies and fellowships in (OB/GYN) and General Surgery at Royal Colleges in London, England. In 1981 he moved to Canada, where he became Canadian Board Certified in (OB/GYN).
He completed his training in Infertility and Reproductive
Endocrinology at the University of British Columbia.Dr. Zouves served on the full-time faculty of the University of British Columbia, in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility for seven years, where he was the Medical Director of the university's (IVF) program.
Prior to opening Zouves Fertility Center in South San Francisco, Dr. Zouves was the Medical Director of Pacific Fertility Center in San Francisco, for 7 years. In March of 2009 Zouves Fertility Center moved to an all inclusive state of the art facility in Foster City, CA. Dr. Zouves is proud of the experience he has with IVF, and all the children from around the world who owe their conception to his work and that of his dedicated team, including Frank Barnes, Ph.D. who brings almost two decades of IVF Laboratory expertise.
In addition to publishing Expecting Miracles, Dr. Zouves has written extensively in medical publications including Fertility and Sterility, American Journal of Reproductive Immunology and Microbiology, SAMJ, Journal of IVF-ET, Journal of Reproductive Medicine and more.
